Mamma Agata Update

In a letter from Mamma Agata’s daughter, Chiara Lima, I today learned that her husband, Gennaro Petti, will begin taking over the cooking classes after working side by side with Mamma Agata for 13 years. Trained in the culinary arts, Chef Petti brings to each class a passionate love for traditional southern Italian food.

Besides being an accomplished cook, he is also a certified member of the Associazione Italiana Sommelier (The Italian Order of the Sommeliers). Over the years, he has distinguished himself in his field through hard work and study and has become a professional cheese and olive oil taster as well.

In the traditions of Mamma Agata, this accomplished husband and wife team will continue the legacy bequeathed to them by Chiara’s mother. They will teach those wonderful recipes that made Mamma Agata such a celebrated Italian cook to the rich and famous.

Mamma Agata’s cooking program was founded in 1994 by Chiara to honor her mother’s many culinary achievements. www.mammaagata.com
